چکیده
The development of single-photon counting detectors and arrays has made tremendous steps in recent years, not the least because various new applications, e.g., LIDAR devices. In this work, a 3D imaging device based on real thermal light intensity interferometry is presented. By using gated SPAD technology, basic scene imaged reasonable measurement time. Compared to conventional approaches, proposed synchronized photon allows use more modes enhance ranging performance. Advantages like robustness atmospheric scattering or autonomy by exploiting external sources can make approach interesting for future applications.

Towards the Intensity Interferometry Stellar Imaging System
The imminent availability of large arrays of large light collectors deployed to exploit atmospheric Cherenkov radiation for gamma-ray astronomy at more than 100 GeV, motivates the growing interest in application of intensity interferometry in astronomy. Indeed, planned arrays numbering up to one hundred telescopes will offer close to 5,000 baselines, ranging from less than 50 m to more than 100...
متن کاملFiber-Based Interferometry and Imaging
Single-mode optical fibers are playing an increasing role in astronomical interferometry, e.g., in high-accuracy visibility measurements and in nulling interferometry. However, such observing modes typically involve only small numbers of fibers. On the other hand, some recently proposed observing techniques call for arrays of single mode fibers coupled to arrays of sub-apertures within a large ...

A pairwise correlation function in relative momentum space is discussed as a tool to characterize the properties of an incoherent source of noninteracting Abelian anyons. This is analogous to the Hanbury-Brown Twiss effect for particles with fractional statistics in two dimensions. In particular, using a flux tube model for anyons, the effects of source shape and quantum statistics on a two-par...

We derive a general formula for the correlation function of two identical particles with the inclusion of multiple elastic scatterings in the medium in which the two particles are produced. This formula involves the propagator of the particle in the medium. As illustration of the effect we apply the formula to the special case where the scatterers are static, localized 2-body potentials. In thi...
متن کاملResolution-enhanced optical coherence tomography based on classical intensity interferometry.
We propose a fourth-order interference scheme for optical coherence tomography operating with broadband incoherent (or quasi-incoherent) light. It is shown that using this proposal, an axial resolution improvement by a factor of sqrt 2 and a better sensitivity for weakly reflecting samples are obtained than with the standard second-order correlation scheme. From a practical perspective, we sugg...
